Saturday, February 9—Subduing The Influence Of Mass Consciousness

Taught by Robert Leichtman, M.D.

The Saturday, February 9th class is about Subduing The Influence Of Mass Consciousness: Effective Ways to Resist the Hostility & Divisiveness About Us. We live in a time of great unrest, hostility, and alienation. These energies contaminate mass consciousness and have a toxic impact on us. This class is about how we can detect their subtle influence, how they affect us, and what we can do to protect our self from them. Students will learn how to defend themselves from the toxic forces of hostility, divisiveness, intolerance, and being demonized. More specifically, these topics will be discussed:

  1. The signs and symptoms of being affected by hostile group minds.
  2. How do we separate our own tendencies to be depressed, anxious, fussy, or angry from what has been added from mass consciousness?
  3. How can we immunize our self from the influences of toxic forces in mass consciousness? What common habits of reaction make us vulnerable to the negativity in our self and in mass consciousness.
  4. The ways predatory groups (who often claim noble purposes) seduce us to be sympathetic to their rhetoric and beliefs. What we can do to close this door?
  5. The strengths we need to energize to protect our self from these influences.
  6. The positive intentions and affirmations that will help us to maintain alignment with our spiritual self and its values.

Tuition is $125.

The time and place for the class will be as usual: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Saturday class will be at the Santa Barbara Unity Church. The Sunday class will be in a private home in Ventura. For those who cannot attend in person, CDs of both classes will be available for the price of the class plus an extra $20.
